Privacy Policy for JetShift
Last updated 30 July 2026
JetShift collects nothing. The app makes no network requests of its own, contains no analytics, no advertising and no third-party code of any kind. Your trips stay on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud database that only you can read.
What the app stores
Everything JetShift keeps is something you typed in, and all of it lives on your device:
- Your trips — the two cities, the departure and arrival times, how many preparation days you chose, and whether you use melatonin
- Your usual bedtime and wake time, so a new trip starts with the right values
- Whether the one-time unlock has been purchased
- A small snapshot of the next few days of your current plan, so the widget can show your next step without opening the app
There is no account, no sign-up, no email address, and no profile. JetShift never asks who you are.
What leaves your device
iCloud, if you are signed in
Your trips sync through CloudKit into your private iCloud database. That storage belongs to your Apple Account, it is operated by Apple, and the developer has no access to it and no way to read it. It is covered by Apple's privacy policy. If you are not signed in to iCloud, or you turn it off, JetShift keeps everything locally and nothing is transmitted at all.
The purchase
The one-time unlock is processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; the developer never sees your card details, your name, or your Apple Account. What we receive is the same anonymous, aggregated sales report every developer gets — units sold per country, with no individual identified.
Nothing else
The app contains no code that sends anything anywhere. This is checkable rather than merely asserted: JetShift links only Apple's own frameworks — SwiftUI, SwiftData, StoreKit, UserNotifications and WidgetKit — and has no third-party dependencies at all.
Notifications
Step reminders are scheduled locally, on your device. Their content — your bedtime, your light windows, the name of your trip — is composed on the device and never sent to a server. There is no push service involved and no marketing push of any kind.
The app declares the remote-notification background mode. That looks alarming out of context, so to be precise: it exists solely so iCloud can tell the app that your trips changed on another device. JetShift does not register for push notifications and cannot send you one.
Permissions
JetShift requests exactly one permission, notifications, and only when you tap the bell on a plan to turn reminders on. Declining costs you the reminders and nothing else — the plan itself works fully without them.
The app requests no other permission, and does not contain the code to. It cannot access your location, camera, microphone, photos, contacts, calendars, or health data.
What we do not do
| Practice | JetShift |
|---|---|
| Analytics or usage tracking | None — no SDK, no events, no counters sent anywhere |
| Advertising or ad identifiers | None |
| Crash or performance reporting | None beyond what you opt into with Apple |
| Third-party libraries | None |
| Selling or sharing data | Never — there is nothing to sell |
| Tracking you across apps or sites | Never |
Deleting your data
Swipe a trip left in the list to delete it; if iCloud sync is on, it disappears from your other devices too. Deleting the app removes everything stored on that device. To remove the iCloud copy as well, open the iOS Settings app, tap your name, then iCloud → Manage Account Storage → JetShift.
Because the developer holds no copy of anything, there is no data for us to delete on your behalf and no request you need to send us.
Children
JetShift is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Health and medical
JetShift is a planning tool, not medical advice, and not a medical device. It does not read from or write to Apple Health. Talk to a doctor before using melatonin, and if you have a sleep disorder or take medication on a fixed schedule.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a future version of the app ever collects anything, that will be stated here plainly and before the feature ships.
