Nothing came through this morning.

Watering Day sends one notification a day, and only when a plant is actually due. A quiet morning usually means nothing needed water. If you expected one, check that notifications are allowed in iOS Settings → Watering Day, that reminders are switched on in the app's own Settings, and that a Focus mode isn't holding it back.

I set the reminder time but it arrives at a different hour.

The time you pick is when the day's reminder is scheduled. iOS can deliver it slightly late when the device is asleep or in Low Power Mode — the notification is built on your device, so it waits for the device rather than a server.

Everything is paused.

If you paused reminders while away, no notifications arrive until the pause ends. Schedules keep running underneath, so anything that came due shows up on the day you're back rather than arriving as a pile of missed alerts.

It says "every 6 days" but I set 7.

That's the seasonal schedule. Houseplants slow down as daylight fades and drink more in high summer, so Watering Day stretches and shortens your interval through the year — the line underneath always shows the number you set. Tap the ⓘ next to the interval to see this month's adjustment, and switch it off for that plant if you'd rather it didn't.

I'm in the southern hemisphere.

Settings → Hemisphere. It follows your region by default, so the seasonal curve is already the right way round for most people. Set it manually if you've moved or if your region doesn't reflect where you actually live.

It offered to change an interval.

Skip the same plant twice in a row and Watering Day reads that as the schedule being too eager, and suggests a longer one. It never changes anything on its own — the suggestion sits there until you tap it, and "No thanks" makes it go away. It also stays quiet for three weeks after a seasonal change, when early skips are just you recalibrating.

Fertilizing stopped over the winter.

That's deliberate. Fertilizing pauses through the dark months, when plants aren't growing and feeding does more harm than good, then resumes on its own in spring.

My plants aren't on my other device.

Sync runs through your own iCloud, so both devices need to be signed into the same Apple Account with iCloud switched on for Watering Day. The first sync after installing can take a few minutes; opening the app on both devices while they're on Wi-Fi is the fastest way to get it moving.

The plants arrived but the photos are missing.

Photos are larger, so they follow separately once their details have synced. They download in the background and fill in over the following minutes. Opening the app and leaving it in the foreground for a moment nudges it along.

The widget is showing yesterday.

iOS decides how often a widget may refresh, and rations it to protect battery. Watering Day rebuilds the widget every time you leave the app, so opening it and returning to the Home Screen brings the widget up to date immediately.

I marked the wrong plant as watered.

There is no way to undo that yet, and it is the first thing being fixed in the next update. Until then: the schedule is always computed from the last time you watered, so watering the plant for real and marking it again puts the next due date right. The mistaken entry stays in that plant's history.

If the plant was not due for a while and you would rather not wait, open it and edit the interval — that recomputes the next due date immediately.

I want a plant gone.

Open it, tap ⋯, then Delete. Its history and photos go with it, on every device. If you'd rather keep the record but stop the reminders, pause the plant instead.

I want everything gone.

Delete the app to clear it from the device. To remove the synced copy as well: iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Watering Day. See the privacy policy for what is and isn't stored.

What does the purchase give me?

Room for more than five plants. That is the only thing behind it. Seasonal schedules, growth photos, the widget, reminders, history and iCloud sync are all in the free app and stay there.

Is it a subscription?

No. It is paid once and never again, and it covers everyone in your Family Sharing group.

I already paid, but I'm back to five plants.

Open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchase. The unlock follows the Apple Account that bought it, so make sure the device is signed in to that same account. Your plants themselves are never removed — a plant added before the limit keeps working either way.
