Watt Charging Speed makes no network requests of its own and contains no third-party code. Your charging history is stored on your device and nowhere else. I can't see it. The only thing that can reach me is a message you choose to send.
01 — What the app stores
Only what it needs to show you your results, on your device
Charging sessions: the date, average watts, start and end battery level, duration and watt curve, plus the charger name and notes if you add them.
Benchmark tests: the battery range, and for each result the charger name, average watts, time and curve.
A session in progress: a small snapshot, so the session can be recovered if the app is closed while you charge. It's removed when the session ends.
Three small settings: whether you've seen the introduction; whether the app has asked for a rating (in Watt 1.5 and later with a count of good results, so it asks at most once per version); and, in Watt 1.5 and later, your answer to the SIM-tray question on the few iPhone models that ask it.
To estimate your charging speed, the app reads your battery level and whether the device is charging, through Apple's standard system interface. That needs no permission, and the numbers stay on your device.
To pick the likely answer to the SIM-tray question, Watt 1.5 and later reads which country your App Store account is in (or, if that isn't available, your device's region setting) through Apple's standard system interface. It uses that only to pre-select the answer. It doesn't store it or send it anywhere.
02 — Sync and accounts
No sync, no account
The app doesn't sync to iCloud or anywhere else, and there's no account or sign-in. If you back up your device to iCloud or a computer, Apple's backup includes this app's data like any other app's. That backup is between you and Apple.
The app sends no notifications.
03 — What the app does not do
A list of things that aren't there
Network requests of its own (it works entirely offline)none
Analytics, usage tracking or crash-reporting SDKsnone
Advertising, the advertising identifier or a tracking promptnone
Third-party code or servicesnone
Account, email address or passwordnone
Location, camera, microphone, photos, contacts or Bluetoothnot requested
Selling or sharing datanothing to sell
04 — Send Feedback
A message to me, only if you write one
In Watt 1.5 and later, Send Feedback opens a message in the Mail app, addressed to wattchargingspeed@frekvens.ai. Below your own text it adds the app version, your system version and your device model, so I can see which battery size a reading used. Nothing else.
Watt doesn't send it. Mail does, only when you press Send, and you can read, change or delete any of it first. If Mail isn't set up on the device, Watt shows the address instead.
A message you send is an ordinary email to me. I read it to answer you. If you want it deleted, ask and I will.
05 — What Apple sees
The App Store part
Apple handles the purchase and the download, and shares aggregated, anonymous App Store statistics with me, such as downloads per country.
If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may pass on anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. The app itself adds nothing to that.
The rating prompt is shown by Apple. I don't learn whether you saw it or what you chose, only the ratings and reviews that are public on the App Store.
Delete single sessions or benchmark results in the app.
Delete the app to remove everything it stored.
Apart from an email you choose to send me, I hold no data about you, so there's nothing else for me to delete on request. If you ask, that's what I'll confirm.
07 — Children
Not directed at children
The app isn't aimed at children, and it collects nothing from anyone, whatever their age.
