What the app stores

Everything you enter, and nothing you don't:

• Pets: name, species, breed, date of birth, notes, colour, and a photo if you add one.
• Medications: name, the dose as you wrote it, form, food instruction, schedule, notes, and supply figures if you track refills.
• Doses: the planned time, when you recorded it, whether it was given or skipped, and the dose text at that moment.
• Optional records: weights, symptoms (with severity, notes, an optional photo and the medication you link them to), health reminders such as vaccinations, and vet or pharmacy contacts you type in yourself.
• Preferences: weight unit, snooze length, whether reminders are on, and the time for health reminders. These, and a few counters that decide when to ask for a rating, stay on the device.

The app never asks for your name, email address, location or contacts. It asks about your animal.

Where it is kept, and who can read it

On your device

In the app's own storage, protected by the device's encryption and passcode, and included in your normal device backups.

In your iCloud

If the device is signed in to iCloud, the records sync through the private database of the CloudKit container iCloud.ai.frekvens.Pet-Medication-Log. That database belongs to your Apple Account. Apple does not expose its contents to developers, so we cannot read, list, recover or delete your records, and no server of ours is involved. Apple is the processor here, under Apple's privacy policy.

No iCloud

If the device isn't signed in, the app keeps everything on the device and works the same, without syncing. The app's Settings screen shows which mode is active.

The app has no way to share your records with another Apple Account. Anything that leaves your devices other than through your own iCloud is a file you export yourself (section 05).

Reminders, widgets and Siri

Every reminder is composed and scheduled on your device as a local notification. Nothing about your medications is sent anywhere to produce one. The app's background “remote notification” capability exists only so iCloud can tell the app that your data changed on another of your devices. It is not used for marketing, and there is none.

The Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets read a small summary the app writes on the device: pet names, medication names, doses and times for today and tomorrow, and which are done. It sits in a container shared only between the app and its own widget.

Siri and Shortcuts run the app's own actions on your device: logging a dose, or telling you what is due. What you say to Siri is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; the app receives only the request itself.

Permissions

Notifications

The only permission the app asks for, during setup or later from Settings, so it can remind you of doses. Decline and the app still works; it just won't remind you.

Photos

No photo-library permission. When you add a picture of your pet or a symptom, you choose it in Apple's photo picker, which runs outside the app and hands over only the image you picked.

Phone

Tapping a vet or pharmacy number you saved opens the phone app with that number ready. The app never places a call by itself.

Nothing else

No access to location, contacts, camera, microphone, health data or your calendar is requested.

Files you export

A CSV log or PDF report is created on your device when you ask for one, and goes only where you send it with the share sheet: Mail, Messages, AirDrop or Files. Once sent, it is in the recipient's hands, such as your vet clinic, under their own privacy practices.

What the app does not do

• No analytics, usage tracking or crash-reporting SDK
• No advertising, and no advertising identifier
• No tracking of any kind, so no tracking-permission prompt
• No third-party code at all
• No account, sign-up, email address or password
• No requests to servers of ours, because we run none, or to anyone else's. The only traffic is Apple's own iCloud sync and App Store services
• No sale or sharing of data, because there is none to sell

Purchases, and what Apple sees

Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment; we never see your card details, your billing address or your Apple Account. The app asks StoreKit whether your Apple Account owns Pro and gets back a yes or no, which stays on the device.

The rating request uses Apple's own review prompt, which tells us nothing about you. Apple gives us aggregated, anonymous App Store statistics, such as downloads and sales per country, and, if you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, technical crash reports. None of it includes anything you entered in the app.

Deleting your data

In the app

Swipe to delete a pet, medication, health reminder or contact, or use Delete inside it. Undo on Today removes a dose you just logged. Deleting a pet removes everything that belongs to it, weights and symptoms included. Deletion is immediate and reaches your other devices through iCloud.

On a device

Delete the app. That removes its copy on that device.

In iCloud

iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage, choose Pet Medication Tracker, and delete its data. You control this directly; we can't do it for you, and can't see whether you have.

Because we hold nothing, there is no deletion request to send us, and no copy of yours left with us when you leave.

Your rights

Laws such as the GDPR give you the right to see, correct, export and erase the personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to disclose or erase.

The practical equivalents are in your hands: view and correct your records in the app, export your log as CSV at any time (and as a PDF report with Pro), and delete as described above.

Children

The app is a record-keeping tool for pet owners and is not directed at children. It collects nothing from anyone, of any age, and has no advertising and no social features.

This is not medical advice

Pet Medication Tracker is a record-keeping tool. It does not diagnose, does not give veterinary advice, and never calculates or recommends a dose: the dose shown is the text you entered from your own prescription. Always follow your veterinarian's instructions.

Changes and contact

If a future version changes what the app does with your information, this page is updated first, with a new revision date, and the change is described in that version's release notes. The claims above hold for the version of the app that links to this page.
